How We Impact Our Community
AL’s Closet
AL’s Closet provides schools with emergency clothing and winter coats for a student’s immediate need. In addition to new clothing, we are able to donate items from our Thrift Shop.
Angel’s Assistance
Desert Sage Auxiliary provides memory boxes, Forever In My Heart grief bags, holiday tray favors/gift bags, infant healthcare kits and blankets to families and children in need.
Early Start
Early Start partners with local agencies serving newborns to 36 months, providing layettes and other essentials to ensure the very best start for the youngest members of the community.
Help for HOPE Scholars
Desert Sage Auxiliary participates in the support of the UNLV HOPE Scholars program by providing these students with help purchasing textbooks as well as gift cards for their personal expenses and daily needs.
Hope High
Hope High supplies essential items and gift cards for homeless youth attending school.
Life Jackets
Providing the Lake Mead National Recreational Area with life jackets to loan to adults and children who do not have this essential item before going in the water.
Like New Clothing
Children’s clothing is not sold in our Thrift Shop but it does arrive at our doorstep in the form of donations. These gently used items of various sizes and genders are delivered to schools for students in need.
Operation Bear Hug
Operation Bear Hug distributes our huggable Assisting Lives in Las Vegas teddy bears to local agencies. These agencies deal with children and adults in crisis.
Our School Boutique
Our signature program where Clark County Title 1 Pre-K to 8th grade students are brought to our Facility to “shop” for brand new clothing, shoes and more. They all leave with wide grins and a renewed sense of confidence.
Scholarships
Giving Clark County students who are striving to improve their lives through higher education, the funds to succeed at accredited Nevada colleges or trade schools.
Perfect Fit
Volunteens Auxiliary provides plus-size clothing for teens who come to Our School Boutique.
